Delete your Cloudbun account

You can delete your Cloudbun account and its data at any time. We'll miss you, and there's no guilt either way.

In the app (fastest)

Open Cloudbun and go to Settings.
Tap Privacy and your data, then Delete my data.
Optional: tap Export first to save a copy of your journal and island.
Tap Yes, delete everything. You need to be online so your account can be deleted from our servers too.

Deletion happens right away. You're signed out and the app starts fresh on that phone.

By email (if you no longer have the app)

Email support@cloudbun.app with the subject "Delete my Cloudbun account", from the email address of the Apple or Google account you sign in with (if you used Hide My Email with Apple, tell us the relay address or your friend code). We may ask you to confirm it's you. We'll delete the account and confirm within 30 days.

What gets deleted

Your Cloudbun account and sign-in record.
Everything we store for it on our servers: your backup (island, journal, chats, notes, habits and the rest of your game), your island and your cloudbun's look, friend code, friendships, blocks, squishes, gifts, guestbook stickers and visits, AI usage counters, and purchase records.
When you delete in the app: the journal, chats, notes, habits and game data on that phone. If you have Cloudbun on another phone, delete the app there too, since that phone keeps its own copy.

What's kept, and for how long

Subscriptions keep billing until you cancel them in the App Store or Google Play. Deleting your account doesn't cancel a subscription. Please cancel it first in your store's subscription settings.
Apple and Google keep their own records of your purchases. Our purchase provider, RevenueCat, is asked to delete its record of your account id right after your account is deleted.
Server logs that contain only a hashed account id expire after 30 days.
Anonymous usage and crash reports aren't linked to your name or email and expire after 90 days.
We may keep information where the law requires it, for example for tax records.
